The new sound generator chip is Roland’s most dynamic to date. It provides the keyboardist with 1 GB of wave memory when fully expanded. The musician is also able to engineer video clips when connected to an Edirol video editor. It features 128 voices, real-time stretch capability, and a seamless combination of audio and MIDI. The high-resolution color LCD screen is the first ever in a workstation keyboard.
The Fantom-X6 has 16 rubber Dynamic pads that can be used for sounds, drums, and vocals. The Skip Back sampling allows the user to go back and capture what they had played and the waveforms are then displayed on the LCD screen. The sampler will continuously record every note you play so nothing will be lost or forgotten.
There are also new unheard high quality sounds like drums, string sections, an 88-key split acoustic piano, and many more featured in the 128MB wave ROM. This keyboard boasts complete mastering tools and studio effects. The onboard effects contain but are not limited to chorus processors, separate reverb, and three multi-effects processors with sound sculpting tools.
The onboard USB ports are capable of being used as USB-MIDI interfaces and to import and export audio in .WAV/AIFF format. You are then able to take samples from your computer and use them in a sequence. In addition, you are able to mix the song, re-sample it, and transfer the song to your computer for CD-burning.
